Orioles Lose Close Contest, 4-3

Erik Bedard gets the loss to conclude his season with a very respectable 15-11 record.

Bedard didn’t save his best stuff for last like Cabrera did. Bedard went just 5 innings, giving up 4 runs on 7 hits and 4 walks. He struck out 3 batters. I’m not worried about him, he logged alot of innings this year. We could need that experience in the future. Todd Williams, Chris Britton, and Brian Burres combined to pitch 3 innings of shut out ball to finish the game.

8 singles and one homerun. Thats what the offense did tonight. The homerun was Kevin Millar’s 15th. The singles consisted of three by Melvin Mora, two by Miguel Tejada, and one each from Ramon Hernandez, Jay Gibbons, and David Newhan. 2 games left to go, hoping to see a few more solid performances.

Markakis watch: 0-4 (.294)

Adam Loewen (6-6, 5.30) pitches the second to last game of the season. Tim Wakefield (7-11, 4.63) goes for the Red Sox. Go O’s.
